Throughout my 15 years as a designer and design strategist I have worked in a range of industries but mainly community development, education, and travel. For many years I designed murals for Wells Fargo Community Murals Program to help individual branches connect with communities and celebrate the local history. At Free Range Studios I worked as a UX and Brand Strategist for clients like Autodesk, ACLU, Accela, and Mentors, Inc. While I was a student in the MBA in Design Strategy program at California College of the Arts, I co-founded a company called Kishu to help Airbnb hosts connect with their guests by bringing local experiences to their visits and introducing them to local businesses. At my latest position as a Creative Director at Hack Reactor, a Software Engineering bootcamp, I designed and managed the company's website and oversaw the brand and design projects. My recent consulting work includes redesigning The Writing Salon's website and brand.

I'm based in the San Francisco Bay Area but I’m originally from Istanbul where I got my BA in Graphic Design at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. I love immersing myself in different cultures and gaining new perspectives through diverse experiences. One of my favorite things to do is to go on photo taking tours in random neighborhoods and explore local hidden gems.

I'm always looking for opportunities to collaborate on meaningful projects. If you think I might be a good fit for your project or company, I would love to hear from you.

Eda Jackson delivers a rare combination of creative conceptualization and incredible design. I am simply thrilled with the results of my website! Working with Eda was effortless. She has business savvy that quickly grasps concepts and turn out exceptionally well. Very little revision was required at our meetings and all tasks were within the committed deadlines. I can’t say enough about the quality, speed, and attention to detail of her work. Thank you Eda!

I had the pleasure of working alongside Eda to increase visibility and admissions for Hack Reactor. Her creative, bold thinking and measured approach was a vital asset to the marketing team. As a start-up, we had to take concept to execution quickly, and be open to trial and error. Eda’s user-centered design outlook lended well to this. Eda is also a wonderful collaborator. She supported multiple teams with their creative requests, while always keeping the company’s goals top of mind. For example, we worked together on the new Hack Reactor website design, doing a complete overhaul on the look, the copy, and the user journey. It wasn’t an easy feat as we had to get insights from every department and build a new brand strategy. But Eda was a rockstar who was able to execute seamlessly, while also adhering to the founders’ visions. I’d work with Eda again in a heartbeat. Your team would be lucky to have a humble creative lead like her!

Eda has so many great leadership qualities but to highlight just a few: she has a unique way of hearing a business need and thinking beyond the stated need to come up with a solution that exceeds expectations. She has demonstrated this time and again in her work on our mural program at Wells Fargo. Eda also has a great gift of being able to bring people together to get a project done, allowing each person to contribute their own unique qualities to the overall effort. Eda is also not afraid to handle difficult situations or to deliver tough messages. She can always be counted on to handle a situation very professionally.

Eda created a website for me that perfectly reflects my profession as a grief counselor and is something that I can be proud of. She was easy to work with, explained things along the way, worked in a timely fashion and continued to provide me with service to the website as things changed over time. Eda has an innate esthetic sense and selected images that were pleasing and appropriate to the various themes. She assisted me with the writing of the text and always kept me informed of her progress. I highly recommend working with Eda Goksel Jackson.
